The Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK), La Sapienza University of Rome and the Lebanese University organized on June 27, 2011 a closing ceremony of the “Master of University Cooperation for Peace and Development”, implemented in collaboration with the Italian Cooperation Development Office.

Through this Master, the Italian Cooperation in Lebanon aims at empowering and enriching the training offers as well as promoting intercultural dialogue networks. It is based on a multicultural and multidisciplinary approach whereby students from several backgrounds had the opportunity to acquire a broad knowledge of peace and development concepts and cooperation ethics.

The closing ceremony included addresses of Prof. Massimo Caneva and Prof. Manuel Castello from La Sapienza University of Rome, Prof. Hoda Nehmé, Dean of the USEK Faculty of Philosophy and Humanities, Prof. Philomene Nasr, Dean of the Faculty of Law at the Lebanese University, H.E. Mr. Giuseppe Morabito, Ambassador of Italy to Lebanon, Prof. Zouheir Chokr, President of the Lebanese University and Rev. Fr. Hady Mahfouz, President of USEK. The ceremony ended with the distribution of diplomas to the 20 graduating students.
