“Continuity strenghens ties”

The Orientation and Admission Office in the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik organized on the 17th of April 2010, and in cooperation with the university campus of Zahle, its annual gathering with the heads of educational institutions in the region of Zahle – the Bekaa under the title of “Continuity strengthens ties”. This gathering over lunch was held in Massabki Hotel – Chtaura upon the invitation of the President of the university, Father Hady Mahfouz.

The Director of the Orientation and Admission Office Mrs. Lena Gebran stressed that « the connection with the educational institutions shows that we are working together on facing challenges and putting a human dimension to the scientific and technical evolution through a new educational policy that goes in hand with the aspirations of the new generations. The Holy Spirit University, through its educational system, aims at staying rooted in its motherland by contributing in the creation of a new social core that is active in its environment ». She stressed as well on the international aspect of the university which is constantly promoting its relations with strategic partners; in fact more than 81 local and international agreements were signed so that its students can prepare their researches and thesis under common supervision and go to one of these universities and study there during a certain semester, in addition to securing various job opportunities.

The Director of Zahle’s campus Father George Kerbage reiterated the faith in the importance of the university’s presence in Zahle and the Bekaa. He added: “the citizens of this region are at the core of the nation’s entity and they have the right to have a university that accompanies the generations and be up to their aspirations and ambitions ». He concluded by saying: « the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik in Zahle, the Bekaa and Lebanon in general pins high hopes on schools that are the base of every success story for when the school flourishes, the university in turn blooms.

The gathering was concluded with a speech of the University’s President Father Hady Mahfouz who talked about the importance of strengthening the relations between the university and educational institutions and about the humanitarian and educational vocation of the Lebanese Maronite Order which runs the university. He noted that the Holy Spirit University teaches in three languages, is open to eastern and western countries and is devoted to educate all young people of all backgrounds and without any discrimination.
