On Wednesday December 19, 2012, sincerely believing that it is necessary to bring joy to children during Christmas time, the Student Affairs Office at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik organized a Christmas celebration for approximately 600 orphans from many Associations.
Following the Lebanese National Anthem, Prof. Nisrine El Siddik welcomed the crowd and stated that “During this time of the year, we all gather USEK community and the Children of Lebanon, to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.”
Afterwards, the children enjoyed entertainment activities, such as games, face painting and dancing to Christmas songs, as well as clowns who drew a great smile on the crowd’s faces.
Then, children entered the John Paul II Amphitheater, especially decorated to welcome them, and they watched a play entitled
Email Maryam by Giselle Hashem Zard.
Finally, Santa Clause distributed gifts to the children, which had been donated by the administrative and teaching personnel of the University.
