On August 23, 2012, the President of the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik, Rev. F. Dr. Hady Mahfouz signed a partnership agreement with the Director of the Foundation of Arab Music Archiving and Research (AMAR), Mr. Kamal Kassar, in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Music, Rev. F. Dr. Youssef Tannous and the Director of the Heritage Center of the Faculty, Rev. F. Dr. Badih El Hage.

This agreement aims at promoting joint action in the gathering of Lebanese and Arabic musical heritage, both audio and written. The purpose is to document, study and publish it in a scientific, academic and artistic pioneer way, in order to reveal the hidden treasures of Lebanese and Arabic music, introduce it to younger generations, and use it in any renewal or development of Lebanese and Arabic music.
