In memory of Ramy El Chemaly, participant in Star Academy 7 and alumnus of the USEK Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, a Requiem Mass was celebrated on Monday, July 26, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Holy Spirit Chapel –USEK Main Campus, in the presence of the deceased family and friends. The Mass was attended by Dr. Leila Geagea, Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, besides a crowd of Faculty and Staff members as well as students. The Mass was presided by Fr. Marwan Azar, USEK Secretary General.

Fr. Michel Abou Tacca, Director of the Student Affairs Office, delivered a speech in which he underlined the virtues of the deceased and pointed out that the artistic milieu has lost a committed believer who left in the world of art a whiff of true Christian commitment.

At the end of the Requiem, a diploma in Food Sciences from the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences was given to Mrs. Colette Chemaly, the bereaved mother.

The Requiem was followed by a lunch at the University Restaurant.
