In June, 2012, the Synod of Bishops chaired by His Beatitude Patriarch Mar Bechara Boutros Al Rai elected Rev. Fr. Paul Rouhana, former Dean of the USEK Pontifical Faculty of Theology and Secretary General of the Middle East Council of Churches, Maronite Patriarchal Vicar of Sarba. His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI confirmed this election immediately. On this occasion, the Lebanese Maronite Order organized three days to accept congratulations respectively in Saint Anthony Monastery, Ghazir and in the USEK Main Lounge.
