The Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) celebrated the Veneration of the Cross on April 2, 2010 in the John-Paul II Amphitheater, in the presence of the President of the Lebanese Republic, General Michel Sleiman and his wife. The liturgy was presided by Abbot Elias Khalife, Superior General of the Lebanese Maronite Order, with the participation of the Apostolic Nuncio Mgr. Gabriel Caccia, Fr. Karam Rizk, Procurator General of the Lebanese Maronite Order, Rev. Fr. Hady Mahfouz, USEK President, Rev. FF. Boulos Neeman and Georges Hobeika, USEK Vice-Presidents.

The liturgy was attended by a number of ambassadors, ministers as well as former and current MPs, in addition to several eminent personalities from the religious, social, political and military fields. The Good Friday Burial Ceremony was serviced by the University Choir led by Fr. Youssef Tannous.
