The life story of the “Cheikh” was in some ways treated with carelessness, and this was perhaps intentional. This Cheikh dared to oppose familial and social traditions, and he performed on stage without previous theater experience. He wrote and improvised, and excelled in the rhythms of “kerradi” and “Mouaanna” which he used to woo the spirit and essence of women. He was good at criticism and bitter humor distinguished by cleverness, timeliness and self-confidence. He was known for being loyal to his friends who occupied a central place in his life.
