Ramez El-Boustany is the Emir of zajal following Rachid Nakhle. He wrote in journals and magazines and delivered poems during occasions. He was known for improvisation and courting zajal, besides Lebanese social poems and criticism. Along with his friends, he founded the Association of the Lebanese Zajal. He collected some of his poems to publish them in one book but he passed away during the war before the book which carries his signature was published.
