The book is about the life of the “Chahrour”, its most important phases and his role in transcending the Lebanese zajal, from the amateur level to proficiency and making it an autonomous kind of art performed not only on specific occasions, but also in a wider scope. He managed to render the zajal as a kind of popular art through its seven rhythms, all of which he mastered, besides eejaz, sabek and improvisation.
