This book includes a study of the theater of Father Yuhanna Khalife, of his dramatic art and its main characteristics, highlighting the most important phases of his life, his various and multiple interests, and the fields he experienced and mastered.
The book refers to the legacy of this playwright and what endures of his impact. It also includes a summary and an overview of three of his plays: “Yunis the Martyr”, “Samiramiss”, and “The Empress Helene”, and a dramaturgical analysis of each so that they can be more easily understood by the reader and who can then fully grasp the acting and theatrical potentials implied by the script after identifying its features, especially given that the three plays were acted on stage. Father Yuhanna wrote them in the first place to be acted on stage and not just to be read.
