“Lebanon during the War and the Intervention of France”
The play addresses the relationship between Lebanon and France under the Ottoman occupation, which starved, killed and hanged scores of Lebanese Independence militants. Lebanon’s relationship with France is compared to that of two passionate lovers who hope to return to each other after being separated by history. France liberated Lebanon from the oppressive Ottoman rule with the author portraying as characters Lebanon, Turkey, France, and several related prominent figures, such as Jamal Pasha, Anwar Pasha and Foch.

Merope
Merope tells the story of a power struggle between Queen Merope in the Kingdom of Messina and her army commander, Bolivont, who sought to take over the throne after the death of her husband Chrisfont. The queen fights strenuously for her son August to be the heir to the throne. She ultimately defeats the commander and puts her son on the throne.
