This book underlines the biography of the priest and writer Youssef Abou Sleiman with regard to many aspects other than playwright, notably the religious, scientific, educational and literary. It particularly examines his extensive culture influences after he graduated from Saint Joseph University in Beirut and taught there for 9 consecutive years. He founded the National School in his hometown, Mtein, mastered the art of pedagogy and translation, and was fluent in both Arabic and French. His plays written between 1899 and 1901 are inspired by the history of Lebanon, before and after Jesus Christ, and enabled Fr. Abou Sleiman to be ranked among the top playwrights of the 19th century and the first quarter of the 20th century.
