I. Submission/Renewal of the Financial Aid Application
I.1. First-year Applicant Requirements (Applying before registration):

Procedure Financial Aid Application

Important Note:
- Providing incorrect data may result in the cancellation of your reduction.
- All personal data is kept confidential.
- The application will be rejected if not properly filled out and/or if the required documents are incomplete.
- When necessary, the social worker may check the evidence and/or documents provided by the student.

Eligible students:
Undergraduates, graduates, and Freshman. 

Non eligible students:
  • Students under academic probation (Unless 1st semester after change of program).
  • Students enrolled in PhD/postgraduate programs.
  • Students enrolled in the summer session.
  • Students enrolled in a continuing education course and UCLC.
  • Students enrolled in executive certificates at the Business School
  • Students enrolled in one of the below Dual Degree Programs:
    1. MBA in Management and International Affairs in collaboration with HEC Montreal.
    2. MBA in Human resources in collaboration with Paris II.
    3. e-MBA Digital Management in collaboration with ESSCA.
    4. MBA in Financial Engineering
    5. MBA in Audit
    6. BBA – Hotel Management in collaboration with Le Cordon Bleu.
    7. Master II in Business Law at the USEK School of Law and Political Sciences, in partnership with the Faculty of Law of the Université de Poitiers.
    8. Master of Laws in International Contracts at the USEK School of Law and Political Sciences, in partnership with the Faculty of Law and Political Science of Montpellier I University.
    9. Master of Science in Cybersecurity and Cyber defense in Collaboration with Université Bretagne Sud.

Deadline and reduction validity:
New applicants (not yet registered):
  • Please submit your Financial Aid Application after completing the admission procedure.
  • The approved reduction will be valid for 3 consecutive semesters.
  • You must renew your Financial Aid Application every year, as an active student, within the deadlines set in the (Academic Calendar)

Important Notes:
1. One Financial Aid Application must be submitted whenever two or more siblings are studying simultaneously at USEK; however, all will benefit from financial aid.

2. “No Call/No Show” (NCNS) and “Late Cancellation” of your appointment are both considered inappropriate behaviors. In case of absence, you must contact the FAO or send an email at fao@usek.edu.lb at least 2 days before the scheduled appointment. A staff member will reschedule it to a later date.
Students who believe they have been mistakenly labelled as “No Call/No Show” (NCNS) or “Late Cancellation” may request an individual review of their case by the Director of the Financial Aid Office.

3. If you are granted another type of discount in addition to the financial aid, the Financial Aid Review Committee (FARC) sets the overall reduction amount, in keeping with your socioeconomic situation.

I.2. Active Student Requirements:

    You should renew your Financial Aid Application every year, as an active student, within the deadlines set in the (Academic Calendar).
  • Current students who did not apply in the previous academic year:
    - If you are applying in the Fall, please submit your Financial Aid Application between September 1 and October 31.
    - If you are applying in the Spring, please submit your Financial Aid Application between February 1 and March 31.
    You will receive an “FA Exceptional” for the first semester, and the approved reduction for the upcoming 2 semesters.
    You should renew your Financial Aid Application every year, as an active student, within the deadlines set in the (Academic Calendar)
  • Current students renewing your Financial Aid Application:
    - If you have previously submitted your Financial Aid Application in the Fall Semester, please renew it between September 1 and October 31.
    The approved reduction will be valid for the upcoming Spring and Fall Semesters.
    - If you have previously submitted your Financial Aid Application in the Spring Semester, please renew it between February 1 and March 31.
    The approved reduction will be valid for the upcoming Fall and Spring Semesters.

Important Notes:

Restrictions: 

The FAO reserves the right to cancel an allocated reduction if:
  • The provided data is false or missing.
  • The student is subject to disciplinary measures. 
II. Submission of an allowance request for siblings
You are eligible to benefit from this allowance if several members of your family are simultaneously registered at USEK
  • 2 siblings: 10% each
  • 3 siblings: 20% each
  • 4 or more siblings: 30% each

Eligible students: Undergraduates, graduates, and Freshman.

Non-eligible students:
  • Students under academic probation.
  • Students enrolled in PhD – postgraduate programs.
  • Students enrolled in a continuing education course and UCLC.
  • Students enrolled in executive certificates at the Business School.
  • Students enrolled in one of the dual degree programs below:

Required documents:

  • Family civil status extract.

Procedure:
You must submit the request once in an academic year within the deadline set in the Academic Calendar.
You will be informed about the procedure at the beginning of each semester.
III. Submission of discount request for OLM relatives
You are eligible for a 50% discount on your tuition fees if you are a brother, sister, nephew, or niece of an OLM member.

Eligible students: Undergraduates, graduates, postgraduates, and Freshman.

Non-eligible students:
  • Students enrolled in a continuing education course and UCLC.
  • Students enrolled in executive certificates at the Business School.

Deadline: Within one month after the start of the first semester.

Required documents:
Request form English Version - Arabic Version
The applicant’s OLM relative must stamp and sign the request form on an OLM official paper issued by his monastery.

Procedure:
You can send the signed and stamped soft copy of the request form by email at fao@usek.edu.lb or submit the hard copy to the FAO front desk (Kaslik Campus). 
IV. Rescheduling/postponement of student tuition payments
If you wish to reschedule your tuition fees payment according to a customized calendar with different deadlines than those pre-established in the Academic Calendar, please feel free to contact us when the tuition fees are applied to your BANNER account. 

Eligible students: Undergraduates, graduates, postgraduates, and Freshman.

Deadline: At the beginning of each semester whenever the tuition fees are applied.

Procedure:
Please feel free to reach out to us on campus, by email, or via Microsoft Teams.
V. Facilitation of the enrollment of students with outstanding balance
If you are unable to enroll in the upcoming semester due to an outstanding balance, we can help you customize your payments, in keeping with your socioeconomic situation and the University administration policy.

Eligible students: Undergraduates, graduates, postgraduates, and Freshman.

Deadline: Once the first instalment is put into effect.

Procedure: Please feel free to reach out to us on campus, by email, or via Microsoft Teams.
VI. Social intervention - personal and family
Your designated social worker will: 
  • Help you overcome your fears or any other obstacle that prevents you from giving the best in your studies.
  • Listen to your concerns.
  • Orientate you towards internal and external resources or specialized experts or institutions.
  • Interfere in some cases with your family/parents, upon your request.

Eligible students: Every student enrolled at USEK.

Deadline: Throughout the academic year.

VII. Administrative assistance: tuition fees follow-up, payment issues, discount not applied, ...
Our social workers can help you with any potential administrative problems, related to tuition fees, payment issues, or discounts that were not applied.
