Abbass Nasser, a Senior Member at IEEE, serves as Associate Professor at the USEK Business School.

From 2012 to 2016, he was an instructor in the Department of Computer Science at the American University of Culture and Education in Lebanon. Between 2017 and 2019, he was a postdoctoral researcher at ENSTA-Bretagne, France, where he became a Research Fellow in 2019.

Abbass served as a Visiting Professor at both Polytech-Nantes, France (October 2020) and IUT La Roche-sur-Yon, France (December 2022). In September 2021, he was a Visiting Researcher at LabSTICC—UBO, France.

He is the supervisor and/or co-director of more than 10 defended and in-progress PhD projects in collaboration with French institutes. He has co-authored more than 60 research papers published in international book chapters, journals and conference proceedings. His current research interests include Data Analysis, Cognitive Radio, Internet of Things, Wireless Sensor Networks, and Intelligent Reflecting Surfaces.

Additionally, Abbass serves as an editor and reviewer for several international high-ranked journals. He has also held senior leadership positions in higher education and research, including roles such as Dean of Faculty and Director of Research in the private sector.
