Merit Scholarship
USEK Merit Scholarships are awarded to undergraduate and graduate students who demonstrate exceptional academic performance and conduct.
Excellence Scholarship
Applicants must sit for the English Proficiency Test and have a minimum English level equivalent to Level 2. Applicants who are assigned a Level 1 English remedial course must register in the Foundation Program first. Once completed, they can benefit from the scholarship offered, if any, during the first sophomore year. Therefore, the scholarship is not applicable for the Foundation Program.

All applicants with a general average ≥14/20 in Grades 10 and 11 (with no ranking) and ≥15/20 (for Engineering or Architecture programs) are entitled to an excellence scholarship as follows:

All Candidates with a general average ≥15/20 for BT1 and BT2 (with no ranking) are entitled to an excellence scholarship as follows:

Students enrolled in the British curriculum can apply for an admission with scholarship if they present their predicted G12 scores in addition to the statement of results for years 10 and 11 (IGCSE level) as per the following:

Students enrolled in the International Baccalaureate can apply for an admission with scholarship if they present their predicted G12 scores as per the following:
32-33 points |
20% covering tuition fees for one academic year (Fall and Spring semesters), excluding registration and operational fees (500 USD) and NSSF fees.

34-35 points |
30% covering tuition fees for one academic year (Fall and Spring semesters), excluding registration and operational fees (500 USD) and NSSF fees.

36-37 points |
40% covering tuition fees for one academic year (Fall and Spring semesters), excluding registration and operational fees (500 USD) and NSSF fees.

38-39 points |
60% covering tuition fees for one academic year (Fall and Spring semesters), excluding registration and operational fees (500 USD) and NSSF fees. |
40+ points |
100% covering tuition fees for one academic year (Fall and Spring semesters), excluding registration fees (200 USD) and NSSF fees. |
PS: Applicants must fulfill the program requirement (HL/SL) in addition to the points mentioned in the table above to benefit from the scholarship.
Upgraded Scholarship
Applicants who benefit from an excellence scholarship can get an upgrade in 3 cases:
a. Based on the official exams results:
- Applicants who pass the Lebanese Baccalaureate or an equivalent diploma with an average ≥17 for Lebanese Baccalaureate and ≥17 for the French Baccalaureate can benefit from a 75% scholarship upgrade, provided that they apply during the Early Admission period and fulfill admission requirements.
b. Based on Grade 12 ranking:
- Applicants who rank first by the end of Grade 12 can benefit from a 100% scholarship covering the whole program, provided that they meet the needed regulations and conditions. The scholarship does not cover registration and NSSF fees, or the Summer Session.
c. Based on SAT scores:
- An additional 10% will be applied to the excellence scholarship for holders of SAT scores ≥1350.
- Only students who applied during the Early Admission period and received an excellence scholarship can benefit from an additional percentage based on their SAT scores.
USEK launched a Student Loan Program to help students who are unable to fully cover their tuition fees pursue a successful education at USEK.
1. Eligible Students

The Student Loan Program is open to:
- Lebanese citizens or foreign citizens residing in Lebanon.
- USEK graduates, or new or enrolled students accepted as full-time students at USEK.
If you already benefit from a discount that exceeds 50% of your tuition fees, you are not eligible for the Student Loan Program.
2. How to Apply
To apply for the loan agreement, you must follow these steps:
- Submit your request: Send an email to loan.student@usek.edu.lb with the following details:
- Your Lebanese ID/civil status record (for Lebanese nationals) or passport (for foreigners).
- The ID of your guarantor (Lebanese ID, passport, or civil status document).
- Wait for the agreement preparation: Once the required documents are submitted, we will draft the loan agreement.
- Schedule an appointment: Once the agreement is ready, we will contact you to schedule an appointment for signing the agreement.
3. Terms and Conditions
The USEK Student Loan presents as several instalments, with each instalment representing a fixed percentage of tuition fees for each semester, covering a maximum of 30% of the fees.
You are not required to start settling any of the instalments until one year after your graduation.
The loan must be repaid in US Dollars.
Following the end of the one-year grace period, you can have a maximum period of five years to repay the outstanding loan.
A 20% discount is granted on the total loan amount if you are willing to pay the loan amount directly after graduation without invoking the grace period.
