Badih Baz is an Associate Professor in Business Computing at the USEK Business School. He joined USEK in 1994 as an Assistant Professor. He currently serves as the Head of the Business Computing program, USEK Grants & Projects Unit focal representative, and member of the USEK university senate. He has held several academic and administrative leadership positions throughout his profession in higher education: Chairperson of Business-Computing department, Director of the Registrar’s Office, and Dean of the Faculty of Sciences at USEK.

He currently teaches undergraduate and graduate courses related to ERP E-Business Systems, decision support models, Operations Research, and Database programming. His research interests span both computer networking and optimization. Badih has published several IEEE papers on networking and computer systems.

Beyond the academic realm, he has actively engaged with the industry, collaborating on projects that bridge the gap between academia and real-world application. His industry partnerships and consultations have further enriched his understanding of the practical challenges and opportunities in mobile app programming. He worked on several progressive web apps and mobile android / IOS apps currently published and active on many international platforms.

With a robust presence at over thirty national and international events, Badih has been an active participant and contributor to numerous conferences and symposiums, showcasing expertise in the dynamic field of IT and Management, through a diverse range of roles, including speaker, VIP guest, session chair, and committee member.

In addition, Badih worked as an IT consultant and as an executive board member for several national and international companies and institutions, such as Al Houkair (Saudi Arabia), Retail Group (Lebanon) and Bull - Zenith data systems (France).
