Darine is an assistant professor in the Department of Interior Design at the School of Architecture and Design. Having joined USEK in 2001 as an administrative coordinator, she currently serves as a full-time assistant professor, while previously serving as a part-time instructor (2009-2020).

A dedicated professional in the field of interior design and education, her earlier professional journey includes roles such as interior design, architectural and conceptual Studies, and on-site monitoring, both as a freelancer and with architecture offices. She is mainly interested in research topics, specifically about urban ambiances and experiencing spaces through human senses. Darine currently serves as a reviewer at the Journal of Modern Civil Engineering, USA (ISSN 2470-4180) and holds the position of Field Editor within the Editorial Board of Anadolu University Journal of Art and Design.

Darine has consistently demonstrated a commitment to academic excellence, combining practical experience with a passion for teaching and research. Her multifaceted career showcases a dedication to the enhancement of both individual and institutional knowledge in the fields of research, design and interior architecture.
