Eva Hashem is an assistant professor of educational sciences in the Department of Educational Sciences at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. She joined USEK in 2018 as Head of Department of Educational Sciences and served in that role for 4 years before assuming the position of head of the master’s program in Educational Sciences.
Her research interests span both educational leadership and language acquisition, with a focus on the effectiveness of online learning during crises and the relevant assessment methodologies.
Eva has authored a chapter book on instructional redesign for interns of education. She specializes in curriculum development, instructional design, course development, evaluation and assessment of learning material, classroom management, and educational leadership for school and college directors.
From 2011 to 2015, Eva developed a colloquial Levantine course at Stanford University - California and contributed to its launch and development. Between 2019 and 2021, she established two master’s programs at USEK: MA in Special Needs in Education and MA in Supervision and Coordination. Since then, she has been advising masters’ students and directing MA and PhD theses in educational sciences in English, French, and Arabic.
