Joseph Zalaket is a professor of Computer Engineering in the Department of Electrical, Telecommunication and Computer Engineering at the School of Engineering. Having joined USEK in 2005 as an assistant professor, he currently serves as an assistant dean for accreditation and assessment and head of the computer engineering program.

Joseph accumulated five years of industrial experience before joining USEK. He concluded his industrial journey as the manager of the Software Development Division at a computer software company catering to the Lebanese market and the Arab Gulf. His research interests primarily revolve around Artificial Intelligence, security in web and mobile communications, and big data systems.
