Maroun Abi Assaf is an assistant professor of computer science in the Department of Computer Science and IT at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. He joined USEK in 2023.
His research interests include data and process modeling, data integration, query languages, automation, information systems, smart processes and Internet of Things (IoT). He has authored many papers in Computer Science and proposed the Artifact Query Language (AQL) used to define, implement, and execute artifact-centric smart processes in the context of IoT. Maroun is also an experienced full-stack developer specialized in cross-platform application development including web, mobile, and desktop applications.
