Maroun Kosseifi is an associate professor of advertising in the Department of Design and Digital Media and Associate Dean of the School of Architecture and Design. He joined USEK in 1995 as a lecturer, served as Head of Design and Digital Media Department in 2011 and launched the digital media program.
His work extends from specialist in advertising to corporate design, especially in copywriting, branding, and TV production and promotion. Much of his academic efforts intend to design programs able to foresee future opportunities and to improve design thinking applied in various approaches in the digital world. His contribution is based on an inherent understanding of the impact of the professional field and international trends on the quality of research and design practices.
He started his career as an art director at Intermarkets Advertising, before moving to D’Arcy Masius Benton and Bowles as creative director. He collaborated with P&G (Crest, Pampers), Byblos Bank, Diyarna, Ksara, Fransabank, DHL, Sodap, Ministry of Tourism, Hotel Al Bustan, to name a few. Maroun was one of the leader designers of “Independence 05”, 2005 Book. Between 2007 and 2010, he held the role of creative director at LBC, Fox and Rotana, one of leading TV group networks, promoting news, programs, launching reality TV programs and series.
