Nadine Zalaket is an Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology in the Department of Psychology and Social Sciences at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Having joined USEK in 2013 as an Assistant Professor, she currently serves as Head of the Department of Psychology and Social Sciences.

In 2006, Nadine conducted a project with the United Nations on post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) among Palestinian refugees in Nahr El Bared, Tripoli. She has presented at international conferences, including the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières and Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, where she spoke on trauma and violence in Lebanon.

Her research primarily focuses on adolescence, and she is the author of "For a Healthy Adolescence: Rethinking Parental Authority in Light of Adolescent Mental Health".

Currently, she is collaborating on the project "Youth in Crisis: A Cross-Cultural Investigation of the Mental Health Problems Faced by Young People in Lebanon and Switzerland," a partnership between USEK, the University of Fribourg, and the HES-SO Leading House MENA in Switzerland.
