Nemr is an associate professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at the School of Engineering. Having joined USEK in 2015 as an assistant professor, he currently serves as the Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department and as Assistant Dean for Grants and Projects at the School of Engineering. He is a member of the Lebanese Order of Engineers and Architects and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

Nemr has participated in and coordinated several grants and projects funded by the EU and USAID. His research focuses on the recycling of plastic materials, the development, characterization and modeling of composite and agro-composite materials with thermosetting and thermoplastic matrices for different applications, including aeronautics, railways, buildings, and health. He is the author and co-author of 16 scientific papers published in international conferences and journals and holds 1 patent.
