Nicole Saliba-Chalhoub is a full professor in French Language and Literature and a psychodynamic therapist. Having joined USEK in 1998, she has been teaching applied psychoanalysis, hermeneutics, poetics and constructivism. Over the years, she has held various positions at USEK, including Head of French Language and Literature Department, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Letters, Deputy President for Academic Affairs, President of the Doctoral College, and Dean of the Faculty of Letters.

She has authored more than fifty scientific articles and several books, the latest of which is Du mal-être dépressif au dépassement artistique. Mal et écriture du mal, published by Editions Noir, Blanc. She is also a columnist and a novelist, with her latest novel, Quelques pas dans l’étrange, published by the same editions.
In 2002, Nicole was awarded the Prix de la Femme Chercheure, by the First Lady, Mrs. Andrée Lahoud. In 2013, she was awarded the distinction of Chevalier dans l'Ordre des Palmes Académiques for her services to French culture, by decree of the French Ministry of Education. In 2016, she received the Prix des Éminentes Libanaises by the Head of the Parliamentary Commission for Women’s Rights, Mrs. Bahia Hariri.

In 2018, she was awarded the Prix d'Excellence de la Recherche en Sciences de l'Homme et de la Société by the Lebanese National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS-L) for her scientific research on the influence of the unconscious in organizations and the complexity of entrepreneurial situations in the French-speaking world. This research was conducted in partnership with the University of Lorraine, where she has been a Visiting Professor since 2017.
