Pascal Damien is an associate professor at the Department of Electrical, Telecommunications and Computer Engineering at the School of Engineering, and currently serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences.
After a 13-year career in software development, Pascal joined USEK in 2000 where he held various administrative and academic positions, including Academic Secretary of the Faculty of Sciences and Computer Engineering, Assistant to the General Secretary, Academic Secretary of the Faculty of Engineering, Head of the Computer Engineering Department, Head of the Biomedical Engineering Department, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and Associate Provost for Academic Affairs. Pascal played a key role in founding the Faculty of Engineering in 2010 and in obtaining the ABET accreditation for the engineering programs in 2015, as well as the TEPDAD accreditation for the medicine program in 2019.
He is a co-author of a mathematics textbook series and has published articles related to image processing. Pascal has extensive expertise in software development and in teaching mathematics, programming, and design courses such as Logic Design, Discrete Mathematics, Data Structures and Algorithms, Object Oriented Analysis and Design, and Web Programming.
