Patricia Zaylah is an assistant professor of translation in the Department of Languages and Translation at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Having joined USEK in 2011 as a Student Mobility Coordinator, she currently serves as the Director of the Writing Center. Between 2018 and 2021, she held the position of Senior Coordinator for International Affairs at the Faculty of Letters.
Her research interests span feminist studies, gendered language in translation, cultural studies, and stylistics. Much of her work investigates the intersection of translation and gender, exploring how they influence each other and shape our understanding of culture and language. Her research examines the impact of translation on the representation of gender, the role of translators in shaping cultural narratives, and the translation of feminist ideas across linguistic and cultural boundaries.
Patricia is co-author of three scientific articles revolving around feminist studies and stylistics.
