Rabih Nabhan is an associate professor of English Linguistics in the Department of Languages and Literatures at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS). Having joined USEK in 2003 as a part-time faculty member, he transitioned to an assistant professor in 2015, and currently serves as the Director of the Language Center and Director of the Department of Freshman Programs. He also serves on several committees within the FAS.
His research interests span linguistics and applied linguistics in terms of language acquisition, learning disabilities, discourse analysis, and writing skills. Much of his work focuses on improving language skills for a better performance academically and non-academically.
Rabih teaches undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students, in addition to supervising MA and PhD theses and dissertations. He also conducts workshops on research methods and documentation. He has participated in international mobility activities, including the Erasmus+ Training Staff Mobility Programs, and has presented at national and international conferences.
