Randa Abi Aad is an Associate Professor of Philosophy in the Department of Philosophy at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Having joined USEK in 2005, she served as Vice-President of the Higher Center for Research from 2015 to 2018, and currently teaches Contemporary Philosophy and Philosophical Anthropology at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and the Pontifical School of Theology.
Her research interests focus on contemporary cultural mutations, identity issues, and the concept of the ‘other'
Randa is the author of several articles in both French and Arabic,along with philosophical translations. She has also contributed to collective works such as Représentations de la souffrance (dir. Bruno Petey-Girard et Pascal Sévérac), Classiques Garnier Nº365, Paris, 2018 and Le corps des transhumains (preface bySerge Tisseron), Université Catholique de Lille, Chaire Éthique et Transhumanisme, and Éditions Érès, Toulouse, 2019.
Randa is also a member of several international philosophical associations.
