Rita El Hajj is an assistant professor of chemistry in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Having joined USEK in 2022 as an assistant professor, she currently serves as an advisor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry and on the MCAT committee.
Rita is a dedicated academic and researcher with a profound interest in the intersection of analytical chemistry and chemometrics. As an early-career researcher, she is poised to make significant contributions to the field of analytical chemistry, focusing on combining chemometrics with analytical methods for the efficient detection of chemical compounds. Her work covers various domains, including food safety and conservation of cultural heritage. This interdisciplinary approach has enabled Rita to extract meaningful patterns and correlations from complex chemical datasets. By applying advanced chemometric tools, such as multivariate analysis, she aims to unravel hidden information within analytical data, leading to more accurate and robust results. Her work has been published in many journals.
