Rita Khater is an assistant professor of modern languages and translation in the Department of Languages and Translation at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Having joined USEK in 2016 as an assistant professor, she currently served as the Head of the Department of Educational Sciences.
Prior to this role, she was the coordinator of the Arabic, French and English Languages and Literatures programs, and also held the position of Associate Dean at the Faculty of Letters. Furthermore, she has served on several accreditation and ad hoc committees.
In addition to her academic pursuits, Rita is a terminologist, certified public translator, and specialist in technical translation with a particular focus on linguistics. Her collaborative efforts with the Arab Organization for Translation (AOT) have resulted in the publication of several translated books. Moreover, she has contributed to various local and international conferences.
