Yonna Sacre is an associate professor of nutrition in the Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Having joined USEK in 2014 as an assistant professor, she currently serves as the Head of Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences and Head of the Health and Technologies research unit at the Higher Center for Research.

Her research interests span both human nutrition and public health. Yonna has been a dedicated scientist and researcher with more than 15 years of experience in nutritional sciences and health, having pursued her education in both Beirut and Berlin.

Her commitment to bridging theory and practice is evident in all her projects related to nutrition, food safety, and public health. She is actively engaged in numerous national and international research projects focused on improving dietary habits across different demographics towards a healthier lifestyle.

Yonna also serves as an editor and reviewer for several scientific journals. She is a founding member of the first Lebanese Order of Dietitians and member of the Lebanese National Nutrition Exam Committee.
