Yves Mansour is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the School of Engineering. With over 24 years of experience in industrial manufacturing, research and development, and automation, Yves brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the academic field. His extensive professional background includes 17 years of teaching at several prominent universities.
Throughout his career, Yves has led numerous projects as a Chief Mechanical Engineer, focusing on mechanical system design, industrial automation, and control systems. He has applied numerical modeling and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) techniques to optimize engineering designs and improve system performance. His experience encompasses project management, team leadership, and fostering cross-departmental collaborations.
In his academic role, Yves has developed and taught a variety of courses in mechanical engineering, covering topics such as Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, Fluid power systems Computational Solid Mechanics, and Thermodynamics. He is committed to supporting student growth through innovative course material and comprehensive feedback. His research interests include mechanical system design, industrial automation, computational modeling, and applied thermodynamics.
