Zafer Sleiman is an associate professor of architecture in the Department of Architecture at the School of Architecture and Design (SAD). Having joined USEK in 1990 as a lecturer, he is currently the Dean of the SAD.
He served as head of the Department of Architecture from 2007 to 2013 and made many significant contributions during his academic career. As an architect with significant experience, he participated in Beirut waterfront development as a design coordinator (2004-2012) and assistant general manager (2012-2015). He also served as architectural and development consultant for the Lebanese Army commandment (1999-2008). His portfolio includes various studies and executions of architectural projects in Lebanon and other countries. As an artist painter, he has participated in different exhibitions in Lebanon and abroad from 1990 to date.
