Within the framework of the convention signed between the Municipality of Jounieh and the Holy Spirit University of Kalsik (USEK), and in a gesture of opening to the vocational world, the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences organized a designing and landscaping contest encompassing the two Kaslik roundabouts facing the Century Park Hotel in partnership with the abovementioned municipality.

Eight groups of students, each composed of a maximum of 3 students, took part in this contest in which 2 prizes of a value of $750 and $250 respectively were awarded to the best two projects that were chosen towards mid-March 2008. The first prize was thus granted to Yara Khoury whereas the second was awarded to the group composed of Zahi Zind, Alain Abi Rizk and Elie Fares. The Municipality of Jounieh was responsible for providing the prizes, supervising the students and carrying out the project. A plate bearing the University’s name will be put at each roundabout.
