Duet Music Concert

The Faculty of Music at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) organized a “Duet Music Concert” performed by Ribal Nassar-Molaeb (Viola) and Jeanine Mouawad (Piano).

This event took place on Friday, September 7, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. in Auditorium of the Faculty of Music, USEK Main Campus.

BIOGRAPHIES

Ribal Nassar-Molaeb
(1992) started playing the violin at the age of six before moving to Viola. He studied at the Lebanese High National Conservatory, then continued his studies with Professor Samir Amouri. He won third price at Margot Babikian chamber music competition. At the age of 17, he got accepted at the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg in Austria where he continued his studies under the guidance of Professor Thomas Riebl. He is currently studying in Vienna, at the Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Wien with Professor Thomas Selditz. Ribal took part in several music workshops all over Europe and played in Mediterranean orchestra, Palestinian Orchestra, etc. He plays in the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra with Maestro Daniel Barenboim, and chamber music groups in Vienna.

Jeanine Mouawad (1990) began studying piano at the age of four at IPSM- Bikfaya. She entered the Lebanese National Conservatory in 2007, and got her piano Baccalaureate in 2010. Since October 2011, she is studying at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Regional de Boulogne-Billancourt, France. She won first prize at the Mozart piano competition (2006) organized by USEK, and second prize at the third piano competition organized by the Lions Club in 2009. In September 2011, she graduated in Finance from the Lebanese University.
