The Faculty of Business and Commercial Sciences at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik organized a Prize Award Ceremony of the Bank of Beirut 2nd Virtual Stock Market Competition on October 19, 2010 at the Faculty’s Dealing Room – USEK Main Campus.

Ms. Lea Yahchouchi highlighted in her welcome speech that this competition aims at shortening distances between the USEK students and the labor market through combining both theoretical and practical methods within the framework of strong competition in the financial markets. Prof. Nehme Azouri, Dean of the USEK Faculty of Business and Commercial Sciences thanked Bank of Beirut for such an initiative which enabled the students to explore the world of financial markets and commercial transactions and praised the development strategy adopted by the USEK President in order to enable students to keep pace with rapid technological changes that the world is constantly witnessing. In turn, Mr. Najib Semaan delivered a speech on behalf of Mr. Salim Sfeir, General Manager of Bank of Beirut in which he underlined the efforts deployed by the Bank to meet the various needs of youth and future generations, assuring the students that “Your academic journey at USEK University will be now combined with hands-on experience though the training program offered to you by Bank of Beirut. We are by your side to make of your new step a turning point and a successful beginning in your career path! We will assist you to explore and discover all what you need to know to make of your tenure with us a unique experience and a solid ground for your future career!”

At the end, the three winners (1st place: Georges Salameh, 2nd place: William El Hage, 3rd place: Charbel Saliby) received their prizes and certificates from Semaan and Azouri.
