Under the patronage of the Ministry of Agriculture, and in collaboration with the Vegetal Biotechnologies Network (BIOVEG) of the Francophone High School Agency, the Faculty has welcomed for two days and for the first time in the Middle East the regional scientific animation. This conference took place in December 7 & 8, 2005.

This animation has permitted to the participants from Sciences and Agriculture Faculties of the Lebanese University (LU) as well as BIOVEG network members in Europe, Saint Joseph University, and USEK to meet together and to exchange their different point of views concerning the high-tech research works in the biotechnology field and the control of quality.
