The Department of Visual and Performing Arts of the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts has had the pleasure of welcoming Finnish Director Mr. Dome Karukoski on December 5, 2007 on the occasion of the showing of his movie “Beauty and the Bastard.” This movie was among the selection of European feature films that had been showed during the 2007 European Cinema Festival. 

A debate was held after the movie was shown.

The European cinema festival also allowed for the showing of the following short movies directed by graduates of the Faculty’s Department of Visual and Performing Arts: “Bel Mekhfe” by Elsy Choueiry, “The Tape” by Marc Sayegh and “Al Watar al Hassas” by Antoine Tony Deeb.
