Under the patronage of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and in partnership with the International Education Association (IEA) and the Mouna Bustros Foundation, the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) hosted the 2017 Coder-Maker capacity-building workshops for teachers and students. IEA Coder-Maker trainers delivered the training sessions supported by Coder-Maker volunteers, who are young engineering students recruited in partnership with the IEEE – Lebanon Chapter from all universities in Lebanon.
The project is funded by the International Development Research Center, Canada, and includes extensive research into digital learning innovations and their impact on teaching and learning in and outside the classroom. The series of workshops and related working sessions involving public schools from the Kesserwan and Metn regions was held at USEK from February until April 2017 on the following dates:
