As part of its “Law in the Movies” series, the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) organized the screening of The Verdict (1982), a legal drama about an alcoholic lawyer who gets a lifetime opportunity to defend an intricate medical malpractice case and finds himself struggling between the temptation of an easy win and the unlikely quest for the truth. The movie sheds light on the deontology of the medical and legal professions.
This event, hosted by the School of Law and Political Sciences, took place on Wednesday, February 26, 2020, at 8:30 a.m., in the Conference Hall.
The screening was followed by a student-instructor debate.
