The Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK), in collaboration with the London School of Economics (LSE), organized a four-day in-person workshop: “Lebanon Unsettled” to examine the 2019 protests and their implications with Lebanon’s young generation and to “archive” this historical moment. The workshop provided an overview of the protest movement by leading scholars with a specific focus on the intersection between urban space and revolt. No prior knowledge of spatial methods and/or theories were needed.
This event was hosted at USEK Campus from July 25 to 28, 2022, and a concluding roundtable was held in Beirut on Friday, July 29, 2022, with all participants (optional attendance).
