The Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) and Sagesse University organized an international conference on “Responsible Conjugality”.
This event, hosted by the Department of Social Sciences at the USEK Faculty of Philosophy and Humanities, and the Institute of Family Sciences of the Faculty of Religious and Theological Sciences at the Sagesse University, took place on May 2 (La Sagesse University) and May 3, 2019 (Jean El Hawa Auditorium, USEK).
The conference aimed to appeal to the inner freedom of young people to take responsibility for marriage and family. It intends to highlight the role that different disciplines must play to support the youth in the process of choosing this vocation, enabling them to seek the support of political, economic, legal, ecclesiastical, educational, and media powers.
The purpose of this conference was to clarify the concepts of responsible conjugality in relation to the Catholic frame of reference (in particular the Apostolic Exhortation Amoris Laetitia and the chosen disciplines (philosophy, anthropology, sociology, psychology, education, ethics and bioethics, genetics, biblical theology, and law).
