Each year, USEK students representing the School of Law and Political Sciences take part in international legal competitions to refine their legal skills. As part of the Summer Moot Court Competition Training, USEK organized a two-week training program with Professor Anthony Daimsis from June 11 to 21, 2019.
The following are testimonials from Prof. Daimsis and the training participants:
“Teaching at USEK was both a pleasure and an honor. I’ve taught around the world and the students at USEK rank at the top. Their hard work is matched only by their kindness and intelligence. The support I received from the Vice President’s office was unmatched. It's a real treat to teach at USEK!” – Prof. Anthony Daimsis
“I was one of the few lucky students to take this course. Professor Daimsis is by far the strongest instructor I have had during my academic years. He communicates information exceptionally clearly and efficiently, adds humor, and uses relevant examples to make connections between course material and the real world. I would definitely recommend his class to anyone looking for an intellectual challenge.” – Marilyne C. Zgheib
“I took part in Professor Daimsis’ summer moot camp and I found it very interesting. It managed in a short period of time to improve our legal writing skills, our oral advocacy and our legal thinking, and it gave us good tips on how to manage our time. Overall, it is a very good course.” – Chantale Alzaghrini
“What was most remarkable about the course is how much Professor Daimsis worked on each one of us and corrected our mistakes individually. This allowed us to assess our progress day after day during both the written and the oral phase. Even though the training period was short, each student learned so much and benefited from Prof. Daimsis’ expertise, skills, and experience.” – Rita Korkomaz
“By taking this course with Prof. Daimsis, I have learned how to overcome my fear of public speaking and enhanced my knowledge of communication skills in a fun way. I highly recommend taking this course.” – Nicolas Ghafari
