The Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) organized a conference entitled: “The Cycle of Technological Innovations: Artificial Intelligence and its Ideological and Ethical Challenges”, given by Prof. Marie Hélène Parizeau from Laval University, Quebec.
This event, hosted by the Office of the Deputy President for Cultural Affairs, took place on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 4:30 p.m., in the Auditorium of Building B.
Bibliography:
Marie-Hélène Parizeau is a professor at the Faculty of Philosophy at Laval University and has been teaching moral philosophy, bioethics and environmental ethics since 1987. From 2003 to 2010, she was the Chair of Canada's senior research in bioethics and environmental ethics.
She has been president of UNESCO's COMEST (World Commission on Ethics of Science and Technology) since 2015. She has published numerous articles and coordinated several publications at the Laval University Press, in the “Critical Bioethics” collection which she manages. Her latest book in 2016 co-written with Soheil Kash, is entitled “To each its sustainable development: from cultural diversity to nanotechnology” (À chacun son développement durable : de la diversité culturelle aux nanotechnologies).
