In recognition of its continuous commitment to sustainability and green initiatives, the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) has made it among the 2023 finalists in the International Green Gown Awards, granted for Sustainability Leadership in Education.

Endorsed by the UN Environment Programme, these awards recognize the exceptional sustainability initiatives undertaken by universities from all over the world. Chosen on April 27 among the 93 finalists spanning 25 countries, USEK is competing under the category “Sustainability Institution of the Year”, with its project on Youth-ability: Algorithm for Sustainability.

Winners will be announced on July 17, 2023, at 8:30 p.m. (Beirut time), during the International Green Gown Awards Virtual Ceremony, co-hosted by the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), the International Association of Universities (IAU), and the Higher Education Sustainability Initiative (HESI).
