On Monday March 3, 2014, the Higher Center for Research (HCR) at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) organized the first Scientific Research Day with the participation of teachers from various faculties. The participants showcased their research in the fields of management, marketing, medical research, applied agricultural engineering, environment and energy, drawing their information from real-life situations in Lebanon.
Vice-President of the HCR Dr. Layla Geagea welcomed the participants and expressed a wish for many more scientific discoveries and breakthroughs to be made at the HCR, the most prominent objective being to contribute to the advancement of research in the University, which directly reflects on technological and scientific prosperity in the Nation. Moreover, the HCR endeavors to ensure the publishing of research subjects and to establish a constructive dialogue and fruitful communication between researchers and university teachers, on the one hand, and their counterparts in national and international research centers, on the other.
Finally, President of the HCR Rev. Fr. Jean Akiki extended his gratitude to University members for supporting scientific research. He also congratulated the researchers on the quality of their work and urged them to keep up the good work.
