Title: Association between Behaviors and Asthma in Lebanese Adolescents

Summary: Previous studies have been conducted in Western countries about the association between certain behaviors and asthma in children. We aim to assess these associations in adolescents in a sample from Lebanon, in addition to examining whether these behaviors would affect asthma control and quality of life among asthmatics in particular.

A cross-sectional study will be conducted among school children aged between 12-18 years from various schools in different Mouhafazat. We aim at enrolling 100 asthmatic adolescents and 400 healthy controls. Other factors known to be associated with asthma will be collected and considered in the statistical analysis as confounding variables.
