
Marie-Antoinette Deek Fegahli is a canonist, ecclesiastical judge, and legal advisor with extensive expertise in church law, governance, and pastoral care.
She currently serves as the Vice-Chancellor of the Maronite Eparchy of the Annunciation – West and Central Africa. As a member of the Curia and Economic Council, she contributes to the media, public relations, financial, and operational strategy of the eparchy, overseeing property administration in accordance with canon law.
As a judge and defender of the bond in ecclesiastical tribunals, her work focuses on adjudicating matrimonial and disciplinary cases with fidelity to church teachings. She is an active member of international canonical associations, including the Société internationale de Droit canonique (SIDC), the Canon Law Society of Nigeria (CLSN), and the Society for the Law of the Eastern Churches (SLEC). In parallel, her commitment extends deeply into the broader mission of the Church. As a synodal delegate for the Synod on Synodality, she is invested in fostering dialogue between the Maronite Church in Lebanon, its diaspora, and the Latin Church, both globally and in Africa.
Ms. Deek Feghali’s previous experience in diplomatic and public relations roles encompass Lebanon’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Saint Joseph University of Beirut (USJ).
Marie-Antoinette Deek Feghali’s holds a Master’s and a Licentiate in Canon Law (JCL) from the University of Strasbourg – France, complemented by specialized studies at the Studium Rotale of the Apostolic Tribunal of the Roman Rota in the Vatican. Her academic achievements also include: an MA in Political Science and another MA in Sociology and Anthropology from USJ in Lebanon, a Diploma in Mediation from Université La Sagesse, and theological studies at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK), culminating in a Diploma in Theology from the Lyon Catholic University (UCLy).
