Title: The Rise and Drop of E-learning and its Adaptability Through AI in Lebanon

Duration: 6 months

Summary: Electronic learning is the terminology used to describe a type of learning where students are separated by space or time from their teachers, while still connected by the internet. Many scholars believe it is soon for e-learning to become the main type of learning approach to create the best learning process. In practice, a lot of scholars believe that technology has achieved very little in comparison to expectations. Therefore, it is essential to be selective and consider carefully which aspects of e-learning to opt for to help improve the quality of learning for different types of learners.

The authors of this paper will emphasize the importance of using the most practical aspects of e-learning, specifically AI, without discarding its major features, as some Lebanese educational institutions are planning to do. This article will discuss what aspects of AI are to be adopted by relying on a systematic examination of its evolution so far, its various types, and its impediments in developing countries, such as Lebanon. Besides the novel research on the subject, this article builds on the personal experience of some colleagues, who have been using e-learning for a long time.
